Shree Vishwakarma Art & Craft trading as “Barzisn Furniture” In the year 1981, the building blocks of Barzisn Furniture were laid in a small town of Rajasthan. It was by the tireless efforts of our founder that this small carpentry workshop in Sardarshahar has now grown into an internationally acclaimed export house of designed ergonomic furniture and lifestyle products. At present, Barzisn Furniture operates from Ten thousand square meter manufacturing facility located RIICO Industrial Area, Sardarshahar. The plant is renowned in the woodworking industry for its quality of materials, state of the art equipment, uniqueness of design, customization options, and high level of service.

Through the years, in Sardarshahar alone, this successful facility has grown to 10,00,000 sq.ft. of factory area & 90,000 sq.ft. of building area and can stock 2200 CBM of raw wood.

We buy our lumber from certified suppliers who are committed to sustainable forestry practices using legal sources. The stock is then recorded as per international standards.

Wood Selection

The wood is recessed and monitored for its quality on arrival by our highly skilled material experts. The timber is dried, treated and inspected before it is considered ready for use. Since we work only with high quality solid wood, all our furniture pieces are of superior class.

Source

The timbers are sourced from sustained and well managed forests of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and other countries when required.

Wood

Though Barzisn Furniture works mainly with Mango, Sheesham, Acacia and Oak, we are well equipped to use other types of wood as per customer’s requirement. Raw Wood Stock in Hand At present, we have a stock of 75,000 CFT or 2,100 CBM raw Wood.

Saw Mill

Each piece of timber is carefully cut into required lengths and thickness. This enables us to reduce the costs and successfully manage the wastage.

Seasoning

Prior to putting wood in seasoning chambers for force drying, to avoid temperature shock, wood is naturally dried. This avoids any chances of warping or bending. The moisture level is maintained at 10-12%.

Chemical Treatment 

To make the timber consistent, it is chemically treated to neutralize any organic development, like worms and termite, in the wood. The chemical treatment facility is available Barzisn Furniture Sardarshahar Plant.

Stock of seasoned wood

Seasoned wood is segregated and stocked in various sizes and thickness. This stock helps us to meet the demand during monsoons, punctually deliver, optimally utilize and minimize wastage.

Machining

For faster production and energy saving, we have invested considerably in sophisticated machines and woodwork technologies. German glue is used in lamination, drawers are detailed with dovetail joinery, different parts are assembled with tenon-mortise and centralized dust extraction system is used to provide our workers with clean working environment.

Assembly

Assembly work is distributed to different teams as per their skill set for precision and each component is assembled according to the part of the intended furniture it is fabricated for.

Finishing

Once the furniture is assembled, to make the raw furniture’s surface ready for colouring and polishing, sanding is done using precise hand tools. Then a specialized team is brought in to carry out polishing operations. Different polishes like walnut, cherry, wengey, natural, rustic, water based colours, enamel, wax, lacquer, melamine, PU coating can be achieved in-house.

 Inspection

We have a 15,000 sq.ft. inspection room where a team of qualified employees conduct a thorough inspection before the furniture is packed for shipping. Every product is assessed and put through stringent test at each stage of the production cycle. After the final inspection by an in-house team, buyers are free to conduct a full or random inspection as per their will. A separate 6,000 sq.ft. well lit inspection hall has been developed for buyers where master samples are displayed for reference.

Packaging

To prevent any damage during the transit, shock absorbing packaging is done by a trained team in a dedicated 6,000 sq.ft. area.

We have a 6,000 sq.ft. containerization area with a capacity to load four 40’ containers per day.

Workforce

Our workforce is the backbone of our company. At present, we have 25 administrative staff and 350 workers employed at our factory.

MOQ (for overseas buyers only)

To support quality, price and delivery, we require a minimum order quantity of 20 pieces per product. Normally we recommend a minimum order which can fill one 20 ft. container so that we can deliver the goods safely. For a lesser order, we send the consignment by LCL at customer’s risk.

Payment terms (for overseas buyers only)

  • 30% advance by D/P at the time of finalization of order and the balance before dispatch.

All the company’s functions are integrated – right from the purchase of raw materials, to the order and acknowledgment process, scheduling, production, inventory management, and finally the invoicing and tracking of receivables.

Barzisn Furniture works mainly with Mango, Sheesham, Acacia, Oak & Engineering wood. The timbers are sourced from sustained and well managed forests of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and other countries when required. When the timber arrives at the factory, it is stored systematically at designated sections. Each bundle is first documented and only then released to production floor for processing.

Timber is then taken to be checked and measured to ensure that sizes and moisture content are within requirements. Wood is then dried at the plants to avoid warping or bending. The moisture level is maintained at 10-12%. To make the timber consistent, it is chemically treated to neutralize any organic development in the wood.

Each piece of timber is carefully cross cut into required lengths. Cut timber is then bundled on pallets, which is then processed at moulding section to achieve the shapes and sizes required. Documentation and identification of each bundle is properly done here to ensure chain of custody procedure is followed. Moulded timber is processed by different machines depending on its shape and design to acquire its features. These components are then carefully sanded to round all sharp edges, smoothen out all surfaces to make them ready for colouring and polishing.

Assembly work is distributed to different teams as per their skill set for precision. Each component is assembled according to the part of the intended furniture it is fabricated for. Joints are glued together with German glue to form a strong bond. Parts are then joined with tennon-mortise which makes them last a long time. The assembled units are stacked together and labelled for traceability.

Polishing is taken care by a specialized team who expertise in finishes, namely walnut, cherry, wengey, natural, rustic, water base colour, enamel, wax, lacquer, melamine and PU coating. We only use compliance certified finishing material. Thereafter product is sent for final inspection in a 20,000 sq. ft. facility. A qualified team conducts an in-house inspection of individual products before it is finally packed into carton boxes.
